Rebirth- A Poem
66
Put the pen to the paper and the words eloquently flow
Like a serene woodland stream
Put the gun to my head and just let go, leave this life and all the pain I know
My blood and the water run as one, flowing sweetly, glints of red in the setting sun
As the blood leaves my body so does the pain, washing away like a summer's rain
Again I become one with the Earth, from my death a new birth
I rise like a phoenix from the ash, proud and tall and unabashed
With new feathers, with new form, with new life, unadorned
By the demons that haunt my past and the fears I once had
A new story begins, the ending unclear, with faith in my heart and no more tears
Do not mourn my timely death for a new life is all that's left

Wow... how beautifully you presented one's wish for a new life. I just loved the flow and the way you referred your feelings. Voted up!
Awesome. . . Yes life after death will be more beautiful, we think so, and the truth only God knows. But youur philosophical poem is great.
I hope that is indeed how it happens for those who leave this life to avoid pain. Very eloquently written.
